Caprese Garlic Bread
Caprese garlic bread is so simple to make! It all starts with a loaf of bakery bread that's spread with an easy homemade garlic and herb butter, then topped with fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Garlic herb butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
Caprese bread
- 1 loaf crusty Italian bread sliced in half
- 12 oz fresh mozzarella thinly sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes thinly sliced
- handful fresh basil leaves thinly sliced
- generous drizzle of balsamic glaze
Make garlic herb butter
In a small mixing bowl, add the garlic herb butter ingredients: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 6 cloves garlic, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp onion powder, and 1 tsp dried basil
Stir well to combine.
Add cheese and bake
Top the garlic butter with slices of 12 oz fresh mozzarella, so they're evenly distributed.
Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly toasted.
Assemble
Remove bread from the oven and set aside.
Top with 2 medium tomatoes and a handful fresh basil leaves, then a generous drizzle of balsamic glaze.
