Cajun seasoning blend
- 1 1/2 Tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 Tbsp black pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1/2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Salmon
- 4 (about 3 oz each) salmon filets with skin or without
- 2 Tbsp cajun seasoning (from the recipe above)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- lemon wedges for garnish
- minced fresh parsley for garnish
Air fry
Add salmon filets to air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not touching each other. This may need to be done in batches.
Set air fryer to cook at 400°F for about 8 minutes, or until cooked through. Salmon is cooked through when cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F, or it flakes easily when pierced with a fork.
- This recipe makes 4 salmon filets, which I've estimated will serve 4. However the exact amount of servings is up to you.
- Please feel free to adjust the seasoning blend to your tastes.
Oven cooking directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Mix cajun seasoning blend as directed.
- Brush salmon filets with oil and rub with seasoning blend as directed.
- Add salmon filets to prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 8-12 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork, and the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- The exact cooking time will vary, depending on the thickness and size of your salmon filets.
