Fun, nutrient packed, delicious energy balls studded with sweet dried cherries and flecks of decadent dark chocolate. ย Perk up your day the yummy way!
If you’ve never tried energy balls before, you’re really missing out! ย They’re sweet, chewy, and come with a satisfying burst of energy!
Chewy, sweet, and deliciously satisfyingโฆ these little balls are PACKED full of energy providing ingredientsโฆ plusโฆ rich, decadent dark chocolate.
These energy balls are great for more than that annoying mid-afternoon slump.ย Try a few for breakfast alongside some yogurt and your life will be changed.ย Easy, convenient, portable, and franklyโฆ amazing!
I made these energy balls with my favorite ingredients, but feel free to switch things up if you prefer a different dried fruit or nut butter.ย Cashew butter is phenomenal in these as well!
Making these balls can be a little tricky, as they can stick to your hand.ย I really recommend using a small cookie scoop (mine is about a tablespoon size), that way theyโre nearly in ball shape before they even hit your hands.
These energy balls store best in an airtight container in the refrigerator, but can also be frozen for a longer shelf-life.
To play it safe, I only keep these balls in the refrigerator for a week.
Have you tried energy balls before?ย Which is your favorite kind?

Have you added protein powder to these before?

I’ve only made and tested the recipe as written, but I’m sure it would be a great addition.

Just made these recently – delicious!!! I happened to have all of the ingredients except for the coconut flakes, which I ended up getting. I placed in the freezer which makes them a little hard, but love the chewiness and flavor. So easy to make!ย
anna says
Does the coconut flavour come through? cos I don’t like coconut much.
thanks in advance
The Chunky Chef says
Hi Anna ๐ I don’t think the coconut flavor is that prominent, but if you’re worried, you could try to add more of one of the other dry ingredients instead ๐
